As the Bundeswehr’s primary digitization partner, we provide stable, secure and efficient IT services at home and abroad, from basic operations to operational areas, and thus contribute to the continuous improvement of the Bundeswehr’s command and operational capabilities. With over 7,000 colleagues, we operate and modernize one of the largest and most complex IT infrastructures in Germany. We are looking for responsible IT specialists who are committed to further developing Bundeswehr IT in challenging digitization projects and thus want to make a contribution to Germany’s security. 

The Service Development Cloud&Platform Core Technologies division develops the IT architecture of state-of-the-art solutions for data center environments. Service Development is responsible for the organization-specific design of the architectures and associated protective measures across the entire lifecycle of IT services, derived from market and customer requirements. In particular, hyper-converged systems with VMware compute, storage and network virtualization are being set up as innovative, scalable and future-proof on-premise platforms in the German armed forces’ data centers. Suitable server hardware must be selected, evaluated and integrated, and appropriate “software defined data center” architectures and protective mechanisms must be continuously developed and integrated into a platform. Automation of this platform using infrastructure-as-code plays an important role. For these challenges, we are looking for team players and pragmatic professionals with a “hands-on mentality” and who enjoy exciting challenges.
