The Sustainability Systems and Data Manager plays a crucial role in RELX’s Corporate Responsibility team, supporting sustainability and corporate responsibility goals.
About the Role
As a Sustainability Systems and Data Manager at RELX, you’ll work collaboratively with colleagues across the business to improve performance in key areas of sustainability and helping communicate priorities and action. You will have a positive approach, be aware of sustainability trends and have an interest in furthering your knowledge in the field.
You will be responsible for ensuring robust evidence used for internal and external auditing and support the completion of external surveys and indices as part of RELX’s CR disclosures. Climate and environment will be a key focus along with other areas such as people and community.
Responsibilities
  • Overseeing the systems behind the RELX SDG Resource Centre
  • Being the main point of contact for the enterprise software for key sustainability data
  • Assisting in the development of a new tool to support customer and stakeholder sustainability data requests
  • Leading cross-business global working groups to advance environmental objectives
  • Supervising yearly assessment of the RELX Environmental Management System and aiding in renewable energy procurement
  • Preparing data, analysis, and communications at various levels, including quarterly reporting
  • Representing RELX in the Book Chain Project (BCP) industry initiative
  • Supporting the CR team in organizing global events, including the annual RELX SDG Inspiration Day, Earth Hour, Earth Day and World Environment Day.
Requirements
  • Have a keen interest in environmental issues, corporate responsibility, and sustainability
  • Be educated in a relevant subject (sustainability, environmental management, environmental science, international development, etc.)
  • Have experience managing ESG data sets (carbon reporting, diversity metrics, etc)
  • Understand environmental standards, specifically ISO 14001
  • Have ISO qualifications
